The following is just a sampling on each girl
Madison Patrick: Madison just completed her 3rd year as a Varsity starter. Possesses great speed and quickness which will certainly help with the speed of play at the next level. Very good on the ball, see's the field well which makes her a great distributor of the ball. Played forward most of the season and responded with 11 goals and 11 assist. Sound technically and tactically, and I'm excited to have her yet one more season. She has been a member of Metro FC 98 for the last four years but switched for the spring of 2016 to the Reign United FC out of West Carrollton Ohio. She has been honored with both league and District honors all 3 years. Academically (3.85 GPA) she is undecided on a major at this time.
Lindsay Campbell: Just completed her 3rd year as a Varsity starter. Played primarily as an outside midfielder for us. Lindsay is a good ball striker and really understands making secondary runs off of our forwards runs. She may be one of the hardest workers we have. Continues to do whatever is necessary to make herself a better player. After several years playing club out of Middletown, Ohio and a year with the U-18 team, Reign United FC out of West Carrollton, she has decided to work with a trainer this spring. Lindsay wants to study Education or Physical Therapy and carries a 3.3 G.P.A
Sierra Rose: Sierra is a multi-talented player and can do a lot of things well. She has average to above average speed and is very strong on the ball. We played her in the back and in the midfield and I think center back is her most comfortable position. Very sound both technically and tactically. Her club team is the U-19 Reign United FC out of West Carrollton. She made it to the final cut for the u-17 State/Regional O.D.P team this past spring. She won post season honors as a Freshman at her previous school. She did garner post season awards this past season. Sierra wants to study Sports Medicine or possibly Zoology. A top recruit with A 3.80 GPA. Was honored with League and District honors.
Dariann Hatton: Extensive club background experience out of Middletown Ohio. Dariann has played keeper each year and was our starting keeper this past season. Dariann understands the position as well as anyone I've had play that position in 20 plus years. She knows all about cutting off angles, coming out on breakaways and restarting the offensive from the back. A solid ball striker, but is not afraid to distribute the restart with a roll or a throw to a teammate. Will make someone a nice keeper. It's nice to know from a coaching standpoint that this position is one that I don't have to worry about for another year. Dariann is undecided at this time on what she wants to study. Dariann carries a 3.9 GPA. Was honored with both League and District honors.
These 4 girls are all great students (3.3-3.9), great practice players, all have great attitudes and are all soccer only athletes. They also all come from very supportive families.
Jenna Bowling: Tore her ACL in a summer basketball game so unfortunately missed the entire 2014 season. Came back to have a solid Sophmore season for us. Possesses all the tools to be a very good player. Played holding midfield and center back for us. She will play in the spring with her new club team Reign United U-19 out of West Carrollton Ohio. Tore the other ACL this past spring so she will miss the entire 2016 season. A very good student.
Abby Lindberg: After 3 years locally, a year with Middletown Thundercats, and a year with Reign United, Abby will once again play for Buckeye Premiers Blazing Arrows this spring. A strong 16 yr. old, Abby has all the tools. Speed, quickness, ball striking with either foot, physicality, we just have to refine it. When we do, (and we will) she will be a very attractive recruit. Played mainly as an attacking midfielder this past 2015 season. Her versatility gives us a chance to us her many different ways. A very good student.
Jenna Svarda: After 3 years locally, a year with the Middletown Thundercats, and a year with Reign United, Jenna will be back playing with Buckeyes Premier's Blazing Arrows for the spring of 2016. Jenna had a nice freshman campaign but unfortunately missed all but a couple of games this past season with a broken bone in her foot. Jenna has good speed, reads things really well and is a tenacious worker. She is a very active player, and likes to be the aggressor. Jenna hates to loose and will do her best to outwork you. Another young lady that will no doubt make someone an attractive recruit.
Deanna Clark: Another nice player in my 2018 class. Deanna has played club for years and this year will start her 2nd season with Reign United out of West Carrollton. Played sweeper for us and had an outstanding year. Winning both League and District honors. Possesses good speed, reads things well from the back and is great in the air. Never comes out of the game and is as competitive as they come. A great student as well.
Christa Harris: Christa is an outstanding athlete that also enjoys basketball. Basketball is her primary sport. Christa is also a pretty good soccer player. We have played Christa as an outside midfielder, forward and as an attacking midfielder. She is good on the ball and is a very physical player. She was awarded league and district honors after the 2016 season. Although basketball is big, she wants to leave the door open on possibly playing soccer at the next level.
Kayla Shackelford and MacKenzie Poole
All of these young ladies have expressed an interest in playing at the next level. In my 20 years of coaching HS soccer I have helped 19 girls realize that same goal. As we know, they are young (all Sophmores and Juniors) and other interest may alter those plans. They all are talented enough at this age (although there is still improving to do which is my job) to develop into that type of player that can play at that next level, although that level will differ for some of them. So it's exciting to have this number interested and eventually talented enough, but time will tell if they waiver from that desire.
